 Effect of surface treatment on carbonation of concrete -- the influence of coating amount and processing times

As the research penetration type paint usage and processing times on carbonation resistance of concrete after surface treatment, the literature on the use of silane emulsion, surface treatment of concrete with different dosage and different times of paint, then placed outdoors in the rain under the environment of study carbonization of the concrete situation. Results as shown in Figure 5.10, visible, with permeable coating to the increasing use of, concrete carbonation velocity coefficient decreases, anti carbonization ability is enhanced; when the penetration type coating amount is the same repeatedly processing than word processing carbonation effect is good. Similar conclusions are obtained in the literature, as shown in Figure 5.11.

The members of the author's research group also accelerated carbonation test of concrete specimens treated by surface treatment, untreated and silane. The concrete water cement ratio is 0.5, surface treatment of permeable coating dosage respectively silane emulsion 400g/m L, silane gel 100g / L (figure in c400, G100, g400 said), the specimens and untreated, silane emulsion doped processing specimens (figure respectively 00, 1W said) after 7d, 28d and 72d rapid carbonization of carbonization depth as shown in Figure 5.12 can be seen, after surface treatment of concrete carbonization depth decreases, empty gel 400g/m than 100gm empty gel effect better, and with addition of silane specimens of carbonation depth is relatively increased.
